Trucks like this awesome GMC have gained popularity over the last several years and many are being restored. This example was frame off restored about 5 years but has only been carefully driven a mere 2200 miles since. The GMC is much more rare than it's sister Chevrolet. It really turns heads with it's bright red paint and show quality detail. The 235 In-line 6 cylinder has been totally rebuilt motor runs like a top and has been highly detailed. It features a polished "Wayne" aluminum finned valve cover that really makes it look show quality The previous owner is a meticulous man he had the oil canister chromed as well as seeked out an original California open air cleaner and had it chromed the side cover was custom made of aluminum and quite the detail. The transmission has been completely rebuilt as well. It runs every bit as good as it looks and this truck is in fantastic mechanical shape. Driving it is fun. The brush guard is original from the Perry Co. in Waco Texas and still has the stencil marks of course rechromed. The column mounted 3 speed manual transmission shifts very smoothly with not grinding at all. Everything works except the original radio. The full factory gauge package keeps you informed and all are in working order. The bed is beautiful with it's real wood slats that were stained and polished. The 5 window cab is the most popular of these body styles and the glass is outstanding. The chrome and trim are equally as nice. The hubcaps are stainless steel and highly detailed. All the bearings, bushings, rear end and all components have been rebuilt or replaced. The interior is just as nice as everything else featuring a period correct plaid seat cover and a natural hue to the painted areas that really looks good with the bright red exterior. The rubber floor mat still looks brand new adding more evidence that this truck has been used sparingly since the full restoration. The visor is original adding the perfect touch.
