There were 200 Aerocoupes T-Top built in 1987. End of production run making it the most rare Monte Carlo around. Chevrolet decided to cancel the Monte Carlo Super Sport Model SS on Friday, Dec 16, 1997 at 5:29 pm and the last fourth generation Monte Carlo rolled off the production line at the Pontiac Michigan Plant. The standard SS Monte Carlo production run 6052 in 1987. The design and styling of the rear window and trunk led rear end was designed by Dale Earnhardt, Sr. for NASCAR racing. The rear window provided a 2.7 percent reduction in drag coefficient. That would figure out to be 5 MPH on the track. The 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Super Sport (Aerocoupe) T-Top has a 305 H.O. engine linked to a 200 4R transmission with a 3.73 limited slip rear end. It has power brakes, air conditioning, and power steering. The 75th supersavers option packages include package C4R power door locks, power windows, twin remote sport ss mirrors, ETR AM-FM stereo, radio w/seek/scan, stereo cassette tape and clock. Power trunk opener, package head lamps, CB4 add six/way power driver's seat to the above package. Requires 55/45 seat. Everything is original - paint and all.
